Our Response

ZURU is voluntarily recalling its Robo Alive Junior Baby Shark Sing & Swim Bath Toys, with plastic (top) fin (Full-Size Products) and Robo Alive Junior Mini Baby Shark Bath Toys (Mini-Size Products). Though the products passed all required safety tests, including those by the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC), when using the Full-Size Products with hard plastic top fins in a bathtub or wading pool, there have been a small number of complaints relating to children slipping and falling onto the plastic (top) fin, posing risks of impalement, lacerations and punctures. ZURU has not received any consumer complaints for the Mini-Size Product version, but we are adding this to the recall out of an abundance of caution.

ZURU is working with retail partners globally to remove and destroy the products and has engaged a professorial services agency (Realtime Results) to manage the consumer recall which will begin on 22 June 9am (Eastern Standard Time)

This recall is only for versions of the products with a plastic (top) fin. The latest version which includes a silicone (top) fin is not part of the global recall.

We want to assure our customers that we are committed to the highest levels of safety and quality of all our products, and we have implemented measures to prevent future incidents by working to promptly remove these products from retail and replace them with a newly designed product. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled toys and register for a refund by going online at https://www.recallrtr.com/bathshark
